Help Merck reach new markets in VA as a Business Development Manager responsible for both strategy and execution. The appeal is layered — $87,000 - $129,000, an internship rhythm, sales marketing ownership, and a Merck crew that backs bold calls.
Key Responsibilities
- Line up the metrics-driven sponsorships that put Merck in front of buyers
- Pull the genuinely-flexible case study that closes a stalled Lynchburg deal
- Write copy for ads, emails, and web pages that converts sales marketing traffic
- Set the weekly cadence that keeps Merck reps accountable
- Push Partner Management adoption so the VA team stops flying blind
- Draft the cold-outreach copy that survives a manager buyer's inbox
What You'll Bring
- 8 years that taught you which corners can be cut
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- A supportive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
- Equal parts Collaboration depth and Cold Calling curiosity
- Critical thinking skills and sound, independent judgment
- A teammate's instinct to unblock others before yourself
- The composure to deliver bad news early and clearly
Most of Merck still fits in one Lynchburg building, and that trust-the-team closeness is exactly why its sales marketing work stays sharp. The fastest way to earn standing at Merck is to make a teammate's hard problem disappear.
Count on $87,000 - $129,000, remote-first flexibility, parental leave, and a stipend for the tools and courses you need.
